Dyke Huish 

California State Bar Certified Criminal Law Specialist and Southern California native Dyke E. Huish has been practicing criminal law since joining the bar in 1993.  He served as a Deputy District Attorney and a Public Defender in Orange County before starting his own private defense firm in 2000. 

Since 2004, Mr. Huish has been certified as a Criminal Law Specialist by the California Board of Legal Specialization.  In recent years Mr. Huish has obtained excellent results including his impressive Not  Guilty verdict in  the case of People v. Nicolas making him one of only three Orange County Defense Attorney's to win a Murder One case outright in the last ten years. 

Mr. Huish also recently beat the Orange County District Attorney's Fraud Division in the highly publicized case of People v. Michael Smith the NBA Clippers announcer charged with defrauding his friend out of $750,000.
 

 

 

 

 

 



Alan Castillo

 

Mr. Castillo is a former Orange County Deputy Public Defender. Mr. Castillo was also formerly an attorney on multiple International Law cases with the American Civil Liberties Union. Prior to joining the Law Office of Barry T. Simons.

Mr. Castillo excelled in the practice of Criminal Defense Law in one of the most conservative counties west of the Mississippi: Orange County. Mr. Castillo has conducted well over 300 jury trials in the course of his eleven year legal career. He has worked on several cases before the United States Supreme Court including United States of America v. Alvarez-Machain and Alvarez-Machain v. Sosa, et al. (i.e. U.S. Government).

 Mr. Castillo has participated in legal writings before the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition, he has participated in Federal Civil cases before the U.S. District Court in the City of Los Angeles. As a Criminal Defense Attorney in the County of Orange.
